it is hard for me to tell on the second piece if you are trying to make the figures realistic or animated. the top one is very clear that you meant to make the people cartoons, which i like. however, the forearms of the bottom figures are larger than the upper arms, which is what is bugging me i think. but i like that you used a different medium on it. it shows much more texture in real life; the picture doesn't do it justice!
I like the top one and get that its repitition. the colors and contrast within the pieces work well together. The bottom one i'm not sure what to say. i'm guessing based on you previous blog post that it's suppossed to be texture, but that doesn't really come across to me. probably if i was up close to it i would see. or i have the wrong element of art in mind. if it is texture, either make it more obvious or make a new piece of something that is known for its texture or somethin' like that.
